Suspected terrorist Jaleel sent to judicial custody

Kannur, Oct 31 (UNI) The Thalassery Additional Chief Magistrate today remanded in judicial custody P Abdul Jaleel of Edakkad, allegedly having terrorist links.

Jaleel was arrested by the police on October 18.

He was alleged to have links with the militants hailing from Kerala, who were killed in a shoot-out with security forces in Kashmir on October 7.

Meanwhile, People's Democratic Party (PDP) said it has no links with the slain militants.

PDP State General secretary Ajith Kumar Azad said the allegations made by BJP in this regard were baseless.

Some people were trying to tarnish the image of PDP by allegeing that it had lnks with militants. This was not true, he said.
