Territorial Army soldier's body with bullet injury found in Kupwara

Srinagar, Oct 29 : An army personnel's body with a bullet injury was found in his unit in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara District, a police spokesman said today.

Javeed Ahmad Rather, rifleman of Territorial Army, attached with 30 Rashtriya Rifles, had allegedly died due to a bullet injury at land company headquarters falling under the jurisdiction of police station Handwara on the intervening night of October 27-28. Javeed was a resident of Malikpora-Amargad near Vilgam in Kupwara District.

According to the spokesman, proceedings under Section 174 Criminal Proceedings Code (CrPC) have been initiated.
