3, including 2 Indians, die in accident at worksite
Dubai, Oct 28 (UNI) Three people, including two Indians, died and one Indian was seriously injured when a scaffolding collapsed at a worksite in Mahooz, Bahrain.
The three workers who died yesterday in the accident were Anil Kumar (33) Badala Raju (33), both from India and Kamal Late Amin Sharif (36) from Bangladesh. Another worker, Kuldeep Singh, from India, was seriously injured and has been admitted to the Salmaniya Medical Complex.
The Labour Ministry officials closed down the construction site and ordered the rest of the scaffoldings to be removed, the Gulf Daily News reported. The company had a similar accident two years ago in which several workers had died.
''We are looking into the matter, but we have to follow certain procedures to stop the company from working on any further construction sites,'' an official said.
