Kabini irrigation authorities issues flood warning
Mysore, Oct 26 The Irrigation authorities of the Kabini reservoir have issued a flood warning to the people living on the banks of the river to move to safer places, following the increased inflow into the reservoir with continues rain in the catchment areas.
In a press note issued by the Executive Engineer said that the water level had reached 2281.20 feet against the maximum level of 2284 Feet.
The inflow has recorded at 25,000 cusecs and any movement the discharge could be increased to maintan the safety of the reservoir, it said.
Meanwhile the water level at Krishnaraja Sagar reservoir, near here, stood at 121.32 feet against the maximum level of 124.80 feet.
