Uma protests arrest of Sadhvi in blast case
Sagar, MP, Oct 25 (UNI) Defending Malegaon blast case suspect Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, Bharatiya Jan Shakti (BJS) President and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Uma Bharti today said she suspected a conspiracy to defame Hindu organisations by dragging their name in violent incidents.
Talking to mediapersons here, Ms Bharti said Dara Singh, who was allegedly involved in Orissa's missionary murder case and publicised as Bajrang Dal activist, was acquitted and later he turned out to be a Congress worker.
''Hindu youth were infuriated over Islamic fundamentalists'', she added.
Claiming that she knew Sadhvi Pragya well, Ms Bharti said that ''Pragya cannot commit such folly as she was a disciple of Guru Awadheshanand''.
Pointing out that in order to defame Hindu outfits, cases were covered up and later under police pressure people were forced to don the mantle of Bajrang Dal activist.
''This is a conspiracy to defame Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and other similar organisations,'' she alleged.
On this occasion, she declared Mukesh Jain Dhana and Dr Pardyumna Bhargav as BJS candidates of Sagar and Surkhi constituencies respectively.
