Two women, one lover killed in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, Oct 25 (UNI) A man shot himself after killing his beloved while another fled after shooting dead the woman he loved, in two separate incidents in this town today.

According to police, a married man Satnam Singh, 37, of a village in the outskirts, had an affair with Bindia, 31, a divorcee, who lived in a rented accommodation at Churpur Road here under police station Habowal.

Satnam, who was of late accusing Bindia of not being faithful to him,came to her house this afternoon carrying his double-barrel licensed gun and after a short quarrel, shot her dead and later turned the gun upon himself. Both died on the spot.

In the other incident, a local resident Vivek, allegedly pumped five bullets into Mona, a 30-year-old divorcee with two children,at Jessia Road under the same police station.

According to police, Vivek, a married man, who was having an affair with Mona, suspected her of cheating him. Today,he came to her house in an inebriated state and fired five rounds,killing her on the spot.

Mona's mother Shakuntala Devi received minor bullet injuries when she tried to stop Vivek, who managed to flee from the scene.
