Second phase of road development works from Jan: Minister
Kozhikode, Oct 25 (UNI) The second phase of the road development works, under the Vision 2010 project, in all the 140 assembly constituencies in the State would begin from January 2009, Kerala Public Works Minister Mons Joseph said today.
Talking to newspersons here he said the government's nod for the Rs two crore project in each constituency, regardless of party affiliation, would be accorded by December 31.
Stating that approval for the first phase had already been accorded, he said construction of 45-metre four-lane roads along the National Highways in the State was under active consideration of the government.
A survey report on the project by the Central agencies had been received and the experts had been directed to make a detailed study of the project report ahead of execution, he said and reiterated the government's resolve to formulate a road policy for speedy development of roads in the state.
