NDF denies link with Kashmiri militants

Kozhikode, Oct 25 (UNI) Denying link with Kashmiri militants, Kerala-based Muslim outfit National Democratic Front (NDF) today said they were prepared for a high-level probe by the authorities into the issue.

Refuting CPI(M) State Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan's charge that the NDF had become a recruting agency for the terror elements in the valley, its general secretary P Abdul Majeed Faizi dared the former to initiate steps to prove his ''false'' claim.

Mr Faizi said ''We will not take his allegation at face value'' as Mr Vijayan had made such frivolous claims in the past also like Sangh Parivar, including the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS).

Describing the allegation as ''cheap political gimmicks'' to meet their nefarious political agenda, he said investigations by the authorities, including the home department and police force could not so far establish any association with the Keralites killed in encounter with the security forces in Kashmir recently.

Clarifying about the functioning of the organisation, he said the NDF is a law-abiding organisation believed in the Constitution of the country and those who envy its growth and acceptance in the society, were making unwanted and frivolous allegations against it.
