Maharashtra govt promoted Rak Thackerey: Akhilesh
Patna, Oct 24 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Consumer Issue Akhilesh Prasad today held the Maharashtra government responsible behind the growing influence of MNS chief Raj Thackerey.
Condemning the attack on the students from Bihar in Mumbai, Mr Prasad told newspersons here that the MPs hailing from Bihar had taken the matter seriously, adding they would soon call on the Prime Minister on the issue.
Demanding stern action against Raj Thackerey, se said such incidents would not be tolerated at any cost.
'' The Maharashtra government has let the MNS chief induldging in such activities for long and sent him to jail too late,'' Mr Prasad added.
He said the RJD had demanded the election commission to cancel the registration of the MNS in consideration of its activities and track-record.
'' The situation in the wake of students agitation in Bihar is beyond control,'' Mr Prasad said and blamed the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad for instigating the stir.
