Saving Planet Earth contest for children
Mumbai, Oct 22 (UNI) Hundreds of children are participating in the International Art&Craft Contest 2008 (IACC 08), aimed to fight global warming through a painting competition.
With the theme ''Saving Planet Earth'', IACC 08 consists of four levels -- the school level, the city Level, zonal Level in nine zones and the Mega Final. While the School Level and the City Level competitions have commenced, the Zonal level will be held in November and the Mega Final is slated to be held in the metropolis in December.
The chosen International Art and Craft champions will get prizes worth Rs 50,000, according to a IACC release here. One of the winners will also get an opportunity to represent at the UNEP's prestigious Tunza competition in Korea.
The event is promoted by Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt Ltd and is hosted by Pidilite Industries. While the Green Globe Foundation, TERI&UNEP are endorsing the competition.
