Emami's turnover up by 18% and net profit by 14 %
Kolkata, Oct 21 (UNI) Emami Limited has posted an increase of 18 per cent in its turnover, while its profit after tax has jacked up by 14 per cent for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.
A company release here today said the net sales of the company stood at Rs 122 crore, a jump of 18 per cent, while its net profit was recorded at Rs 12 crore, a hike of 14 per cent, over the corresponding period last year.
The release also said the company's exports grew by 48 per cent at Rs 20 crore during the quarter, while the EBIDTA rose by 22.5 per cent at Rs 13.6 crore.
The company acquired majority stake in Zandu Pharmaceuticals Works Limited in this month, the release added.
