Police arrests 6 more MNS leaders, 1 Shiv Sena MLA
Mumbai, Oct 21 (UNI) Police have arrested six leaders of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) in connection with Sunday's attack on north Indian candidates appearing for the Railway Recruitment Board examination.
Police have also arrested Mr Bala Nandgaonkar, a Shiv Sena MLA and a close associate of MNS leader Raj Thackeray, who was picked up in Ratnagiri in the early hours today, apart from MNS leaders Mr Anil Shirode, Mr Avinash Abhayankar, Mr Manoj Chavan, Ms P Darekar, Ms Sanjana Gadhi and Mr Sanjay Gadhi from Vashi, while they were returning from Ratnagiri to the city.
The leaders, who were arrested under various sections of the Indian Penal Code with charges ranging from threatening, rioting and assault, were produced before a local court in Vashi.
