Lok Sabha adjourned till 1200 hours amid noise scenes

New Delhi, Oct 21 (UNI) The Lok Sabha was adjourned till 1200 hours today with the DMK members storming the well of the House demanding immediate intervention by India to stop the Sri Lankan armed forces from attacking Tamil civilian population during the drive against the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).

As soon as the House assembled, the DMK members were on their feet raising the demand before marching upto the Speaker's podium.

The BJP, Samajwadi Party and TDP members also raised various issues making it impossible for Speaker Somnath Chatterjee to proceed with the day's business.

The Speaker repeatedly requested the members to go back to their seats but as they did not comply, he adjourned the House till 1200 hours.
