K'taka Govt sanctions Rs 10 cr for road works in Kodagu
Madikeri, Oct 21 (UNI) The Karnataka Government has sanctioned Rs ten crore to carry out roads work in Kodagu, according to state Planning Commission Vice-President D H Shankara Murthy.
Addressing a press conference here yesterday, he said the government had considered the Nanjudappa report, recommending special attention be taken for road condition here and the demand by two MLAs, Appachu Ranjan and K G Bopaiah.
The road repair works all over the state would be taken up after Diwali festival, he added.
Stating that the Planning Commission was preparing a plan to convert Karnataka into 'Bhavya Karnataka' by 2020, he said the commission would elicit the opinion of people and representatives in this regard.
The government would chalk out plans to solve drinking problem in the state and supply bio gas on priority basis, he added.
