Major fire guts plastic godown in Mumbai

Mumbai, Oct 20 (UNI) A major fire broke out today in a plastic godown at Sharaf Taskar Industrial Estate in western suburbs of the city.

The fire, which broke out at 0645 hrs, was raging even after the noon, according to Fire Brigade sources.

Sixteen fire engines, twelve water tankers were pressed into service to quell the fire.

Police said no casualty has been reported so far, adding the cause of fire and damage caused is yet to be ascertained.
