AP: Rs 1 lac ex-gratia for bus mishap victims
Vijayawada, Oct 20: Krishna District Collector Shailaja Ramaiyer has announced an ex-gratia of Rs one lakh each to the families of those who were killed when a private bus fell into a tank at Tarrigopula Village of Unguturu Mandal in the district on Sunday, Oct 19 evening.
Informing this to UNI here yesterday, District Joint Collector Ramayya confirmed three persons were killed in the accident.
They were identified as Vishnu Priya (16), K Hemanjali (13) and K Harathi (35).
The accident occurred when the bus with about 46 persons of a marriage party was on its way to Gannavaram from Manikonda.
The bus was lifted from the river with the help of a proclain past midnight last night, police said.
