HCC bags 2 contracts worth Rs 1688 cr from AP govt
New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) Hindustan Construction Company (HCC), an infrastructure construction and development firm, has bagged two orders worth Rs 1,688.28 crore from the Irrigation and CAD Department of Andhra Pradesh government.
The first order is for execution of lift irrigation scheme for lifting of 88.24 TMC water from Mid Manar to the new reservoir at Ananthagiri village in Karimnagar District, the company said in a statement.
The contract, to be executed by a joint venture formed between HCC, Megha Engineering&Infrastructure Ltd (MEIL) and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), is valued at Rs 1,928 crore. HCC's share in the total value of the contract is 51 per cent, that is, Rs 983.28 crore.
The second order, for construction of Phase-III J Chokka Rao Devadula Lift Irrigation Scheme, will be executed by the joint venture formed between HCC, SEW Infrastructure Ltd, MEIL and Andritz AG (AAG). The contract is valued at Rs 1,410 crore, of which the HCC's share is 50 per cent, that accounts for Rs 705 crore.
