'Save power for industrial city of UP'

Kanpur, Oct 14 (UNI) Taking note of the growing misuse of power at Ambedkar and Ramabai parks and Kanshiram Sthal in the state capital, the Uttar Pradesh legislative council power administration enquiry committee chairman Dayaram Prajapati said the same should be saved and diverted to this city for industrial use.

Mr Prajapati, who arrived here today to inspect power supply, said the power needs to be utilised effectively.

As Kanpur was already reeling under severe power crisis, the same should be saved at the mammoth parks in Lucknow and supplied to this city for industrial purpose, he maintained.

The power department employees, who would be found in corrupt practices would be not be spared and delt with strictly.

Besides, the condition of power equipments would be checked and probe against the erring employees launched, the state legislative council power administration enquiry committee chairman added.
