1,450 prisoners observe fast condemn killings of Tamils in SL

Tiruchirapalli, Oct 10 (UNI) About 1,000 male prisoners and 450 female prisoners, lodged in the Central Prison observed a day's fast here today, condemning alleged genocide against innocent Tamils in Sri Lanka by the Sinhalese Army.

The fasting prisoners also urged the Centre to intervene and ensure their safety and security.
