Lawyers protest 'misbehaviour' of civil judge
Ambala, Oct 8 (UNI) Agitated over the alleged misbehaviour of the Ambala civil judge, Anmol Nair, members of Ambala District Bar Association today locked the court room and staged dharna in front of the court demanding his immediate transfer.
The agitated lawyers, who had boycotted the court yesterday to protest against the "misbehaviour and non-cooperation" of the civil judge, adopted a resolution demanding immediate transfer of the judge and threatened that they would continue their boycott till the judge was transferred.
Later, the police reached the spot and unlocked the court room.
Bar Association general secretary Rajan Gupta stated that the dealing of the civil judge with Bar members was not good and many of its members and even some litigants had complained against him.
The District and Sessions Judge SM Bedi when contacted refused to make any comment on the issue.
