Bengal Tiger to return to 'Den' after India-Australia series
Bangalore, Oct 7 (UNI) Bengal Tiger Sourav Ganguly today announced his desire to retire from International Cricket after the four-test series between India-Australia comes to an end.
Announcing this at a crowded press conference here, the West Bengal Southpaw announced that " this is going to be my last series.
I have decided to quit, I have told my team mates before I came here about my decision. This four test matches would be my last. Thanks for all your support, hopefully it will go on a winning note.
It may be recalled here that Ganguly was under tremendous pressure to quit and his reported threat to quit from international arena if he was not selected for this series was received very badly by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
And according to reports the Board after selecting him for the first two tests wanted Ganguly to retire.
