Tension after place of worship damaged
Sagar, MP, Oct 5 (UNI) Five police personnel were injured in stone-pelting during a dispute between two groups today after a place of worship was damaged by unidentified persons in this district's Khurai town last night, police said.
The groups disputed and came to blows last night as well after the place of worship was damaged. Police used mild force to bring the situation under control today.
Confirming that the personnel were injured, Khurai's Sub-Divisional Officer (Police) Anil Jharkhadiya said, ''an additional force has been stationed and the situation is under control. A case was registered against 10 persons and eight arrested.'' Another case was registered against about half-a-dozen persons for the stone-pelting. Khurai's markets remained closed today as a mark of protest. District Collector Heeralal Trivedi and Superintendent of Police Hari Singh Yadav reached the spot and took stock of the situation.
