Rane appeals to dalit leaders to foster unity for development

Beed, Oct 4 (UNI) Maharashtra Revenue Minister Narayan Rane today appealed to all dalit leaders that they should come together and think seriously about the development of society.

''Why does poverty remain even after 61 years of independence? Are any dalit leaders making special efforts to speed up Ambedkar movement? What is the purpose of these movements and for whom?, he raised these questions while addressing the 'Dlit Hakk Parishad'.

The Parishad was organised by Republican Party of India (RPI), Beed district.

In this, RPI-A president Ramdas Athawalwe and health Minister Dr Vimal Mundada were also present.
