Kota Harinarayana selected for Ramineni award
Hyderabd, Oct 4 (UNI) Former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hyderabad Kota Harinarayana has been selected for this year's 'Visishta Puraskaarams' by the Dr Ramineni Foundation Prathibha Puraskaarams committee.
Addressing a press conference here today, Foundation Convener and film artiste A V Surabrahmanyam said the committee had also selected Vetapalem Library founder and promotor K V D Mallikarjuna Rao, veteran Journalist C V Rajagopala Rao and senior film artiste Ramaprabha for Visesha Puraskaarams.
He said the awards, carrying a cash prize of Rs 50,000 for Visishta Puraskaaram and Rs 25,000 for Visesha Puraskaarams, would be presented on October 12 at a function here.
Assam Chief Justice Jasti Chelameswar would be the chief guest at the function.
The Ramineni Foundation was founded in 1995 with a primary mission to felicitate eminent personalities in the fields of art, science and humanities.
