Five feared drowned in Madhepura boat mishap

Madhepura, Oct 4 (UNI) Five people were feared drowned when a boat got stuck in the flood waters between Madhepura and Sukhaasan under Sadar police station here today.

Police said the boat was ferrying 30 people when it capsized in the flood water.

The sources said while 25 people swam to safety, five were suspectedly washed away in the high current of the flood water.

The accident took place due to overloading of the boat.

Divers had been pressed into service to trace the missing bodies.
