Blast: PM calls for further tightening of intelligence system
On Board PM's Special Aircraft, Sep 28 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today expressed outrage at the blast in Mehrauli and called for further tightening of the intelligence system and strengthening the investigative process and prosecution.
Speaking to reporters on board the Prime Minister's Special Aircraft enroute to Marseille for the India-EU summit from New York, Dr Singh was asked who was responsible for the blast in New Delhi yesterday that claimed one life and left 18 others injured.
The Prime Minister said he was out of the country and it would not be possible for him to say from this distance who was responsible for this '' outrage.'' Dr Singh expressed sympathy with the victims and stressed the need for fighting against terrorism with all resoluteness.
