Single point contact numbers for complaints in UHBVN
Chandigarh, Sep 27 (UNI) Under its ongoing programme of ensuring the best services to the consumers, the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has started the process of acquiring new single point telephone contact numbers for the consumers for lodging their complaints relating to power supply.
Giving details, a UHBVN spokesman said here today that the Nigam has taken up the matter with the BSNL authorities to provide the telephone nubmers 1912 and 155333 in district Panchkula, Ambala, Yamuna Nagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Panipat, Sonepat, Rohtak, Jhajjar and Jind on which the consumers would be able to register their complaints.
It would be easy for the consumers to remember these numbers due to uniformity in the Nigam's command area.
He said the telephones would be installed in Bijli Suvidha Kendras at the district headquarters in the first phase where electricity complaints would be registered round the clock. The record of every complaint would be maintained with the help of computers.
The Executive Engineers and Sub Divisional Officers of the operation wing would check the complaint registers periodcally and examine the nature of complaints and how much time had been taken by the staff for redressal of each of them.
The Nigam had already made a budget provision of Rs four crore for setting up ten new Bijli Suvidha Kendras during the current fiscal.
