Police launched combing operation in search of more bombs
Hubli Sep 27(UNI) The police today launched combing operation to search any more bombs in the vicinity of Singanahalli village where three live bombs were recovered yesterday.
The police who are yet to attribute to any organisation for placing the bombs near a bridge in the village which were however recovered even before exploded yesterday strongly suspect about the handiwork of SIMI activists.
The police took round in around Singanahalli village and also some parts of Soundatti Taluk where the police suspect that the Simi activists had conducted meetings and had training. They also searched near Kalaghatagi area near Hubli where the Simi activists were allegedly running training camps.
The tracing of bomb and other explosives under a bridge near Singanahalli village on Hubli Venkatapur road has sent shock waves all around Dharwad district and fear stricken people have now urging the police to intensify their search for any such subversive activities.
However, the police have appealed the people to be calm and not be under fear. They also have appealed them not be swayed by any rumours.
