District court receives hoax threat in UP

Kanpur, Sep 27 (UNI) A serial blast threat in the court premises ofthe industrial city today turned out to be a hoax.

Tight security arrangements were made at the court after the district judge office on thursday received a post card threatening of serial blasts.

A large number of police, including PAC and RAF, were deployed in and outside the court, besides bomb squads were pressed into service, who searched each and every corner, but nothing was found, SP (Kanpur East) Manoj Sonkar told UNI.

Metal detectors were also installed at the entrance and exit points and even vehicles were being checked in the court compound since morning, Mr Sonkar added.
