New Delhi, Sept 24 (UNI) Larsen&Toubro Ltd, the country's leading engineering and construction firm, today said it has received orders worth Rs 5,000 crore in buildings and factories segment during the second quarter ending on September 30.

The orders, bagged by the company's newly formed construction vertical-- Buildings&Factories Operating Company, are for the construction of institutional, commercial, residential and factory buildings which it secured from corporates such as Godrej Properties, Nesco, PBEL Property Development and Mahi Cement, it said in a statement.

''The orders boost a growth trend that earlier saw the company securing major design and build orders in the airports, IT Parks and commercial space,'' the statement said.
