Rahul no challenge for SAD-BJP Govt: Badal
Jalandhar, Sept 23 (UNI) Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today said the ongoing whirlwind tour of Punjab by Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi posed no challenge to the SAD-BJP alliance in the parliamentary elections.
''Rahul Gandhi can hardly make any impact on state politics and we are not taking him as a challenge for the coming elections,'' Mr Badal told reporters when asked to comment on the Congress youth leader's visit to the state to motivate the youth to join his party.
''After a similar tour by Mrs Indira Gandhi to Punjab in the late 70s, the Congress had failed to win any of the constituencies she had visited,'' Mr Badal said.
