Jammu, Sep 23 (UNI) In a bid to aware masses and seek their cooperation in foiling the nefarious designs of anti-national elements, Jammu and Kashmir police today taught skills of ''identifying'' suspicious elements and to keep watch on them to the people, sources here said.

A day-long special course was organised at the general bus stand this afternoon and the people were taught different techniques to recognise the mysterious activities of anti-nationals.

However, senior police officers gave various tips to the shopkeepers, travel agents, passengers and also to the drivers to spot the doubtful elements.

''As an alert has been sounded in Jammu, the people were told to be watchful and inform police if they notice any mysterious activity,'' Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) North Swatantar Arora told UNI.

Mr Arora added that people are required to be educated and made aware of skills to identify anti-national elements and keep watch on doubtful activities, which would one way or the other, help police to act swiftly and at the same time avert major tragedy.
