Indo-Pak Joint Working Group to meet in Delhi
New Delhi, Sep 22: On Monday, Sep 22 the officials from India and Pakistan will meet to discuss the modalities for launching cross Line-of-Control (LoC) trade and other Confidence-Building Measures (CBMs) related to Jammu Kashmir.
The Joint Working Group on cross-LoC and CBMs, comprising senior officials, will seek to exchange ideas of the two sides to ensure early start of new measures. Matters like the launch of commerce on the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad route will be discussed during the talks. Since 2005 when the proposal was first initiated India has been keen on launching the cross-LoC trade. But both India and Pakistan failed to reach a consensus on issues like items to be traded.
