Heavy rains to occur in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhan

Pune, Sep 20 (UNI) Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh and north Konkan.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat region, 'madhya' (central) Maharashtra and Andaman and Nicobar.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, coastal Karantaka and Kerala, and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Saurashtra, Kutch, coastal Andhra Pradesh, south interior Karantaka and Lakshadweep. They are likely to occur at isolated places in west Rajasthan, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu and north interior Karantaka.

The south-west monsoon has been vigorous in east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Konkan, Goa and central Maharashtra, and active in Gujarat region and Kerala. It has been subdued in west Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and north interior Karnataka.

Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred at most places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, and at many places in east Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.

Heavy rains have occurred at most places in Gujarat region, Kerala and at many places in central Maharashtra.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in east Madhya Pradesh and at many places in west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Vidarbha, Rayalseema and coastal Karnataka. They have occurred at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, south interior Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar, and at isolted places in Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharakhand, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Saurashtra, Kutch, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep.
