Sonia, Patil condoles death of Inspector Sharma in encounter
New Delhi, Sept 19 (UNI) UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Home Minister Shivraj Patil today condoled the death of Delhi Police Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma in the operation against terrorists and said that the battle against terrorism would continue.
''I was most distressed to hear that Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma of the Delhi police succumbed to the injuries he sustained during the operation against the terrorists this morning. He battled the terrorists valiantly and sacrificed his life in the service of our country. My heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family,'' Ms Gandhi said.
Mr Patil said that the Delhi police would always remember the supreme sacrifice made by Inspector Sharma in the battle against terrorism.
