Baba sahab's idol vandalised in UP; tension prevails
Bareilly, Sep 19 (UNI) Tension gripped the region after few people vandalised Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar's idol in the Bhojipur area here late last night, police said today.
The incident occurred at Bhairpur Khajuria village, where anti-social elements damaged and painted black the idol of Dr Ambedkar.
Police has registered a case against Amendra Singh, Harjit, Pradeep, Jayendra and few others.
BSP district president Bahoran Lala Maurya had demanded stringent action against the culprit and appealed the people to maintain peace in the area.
