Govt to set up Institute of Nano Science and Technology at Mohali

New Delhi, Sep 18 (UNI) The Union Cabinet today gave its approval to the establishment of an autonomous 'Institute of Nano Science&Technology' at Mohali under the Department of Science and Technology.

The institute would be set up at a total cost of Rs 142.45 crores for 11th Plan Period as a registered society.

Briefing newspersons after the cabinet meet Information and Broadcasting Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunshi said this will intensify activities in Nano Science and Technology by promoting basic research, infrastructure and human resource development, international collaborations and Public Private Partnerships.
