Govt cancels permit of bus that killed 16 people in Bihar
Patna, Sep 18 (UNI) Taking strong cognizance of the rough driving of the bus which ran over 16 people late last night in Sitamarhi district, Bihar government today cancelled the permit of the bus for plying in the state.
Transport secretary Rajesh Bhushan here said that the permit of the bus bearing number- BR-06P-3925 had been cancelled with immediate effect. He said the driving was too rough and uncontrolled following which it crushed to death 16 people.
Mr Bhushan said the Deputy Transport Commissioner of Muzaffarpur had been asked to take immediate action to book the driver and ensure that the ''killer'' bus should not ply on the roads.
Sixteen people were killed in the accident at Tandaspur-Rupauli village when a bus run over a group of people watching television on the road side late last night.
