CM announces Rs 1.5 lakh compensation to victims of bus accident
Patna, Sep 18 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed deep sorrow over the casualities in last night's bus accident in Sitamarhi district and announced compensation of Rs 1.5 lakh to the kith of each deceased today.
Mr Kumar said the relatives of those killed in the accident would be given Rs 50,000 from CM relief fund and Rs 1 lakh from the state government.
Earlier 16 people were killed in the accident at Tandaspur-Rupauli village when a bus run over a group of people watching television on the road side late last night.
