850 students had a narrow escape in gas cylinder fire

Dharamsala, Sep 17 (UNI) More than 850 students of Government Senior Secondary School, Dugiari, 12 Km from here, had a narrow escape when a gas cylinder caught fire in the school building today.

However, all the students were evacuated to safer place, Principal Satish Dhiman said.

The cylinder caught fire when a woman worker was cooking mid day meals for the students. Panic gripped the students and teachers who ran away from school premises.

Police and fire brigade reached the school immediately and dragged out the burning cylinder to an isolated place and thus averted a major tragedy.
