7 held, Rs 15 lakhs worth stolen ornaments, Laptop and Mobile seized
Bangalore, Sept 17 (UNI) Central Crime Branch Organised Crime Detection Branch sleuths today arrested seven people and seized from them stolen articles worth more than Rs 15 lakhs.
City Deputy Commissioner of Police Gopal Hosur said that the arrested were chalking out plan to strike when they were arrested.
The arrested included Mirja Ibna, Aliraja alias Ali Bin Allahbaksh, Habib Ali, Javind Ali, Pravin V Yadar, J Marappa, J Murty.
He said that they had purchased Five lakhs worth Mobile and Lap tops from ShellCom Limited in the City, by producing duplicate credit cards of HDFC and ICICI banks obtained from a person in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
Marappa and Murthy, who were working in Sri Srinivas Jewelers in the city had robbed ornaments worth Rs 10 lakhs.
The seized articles included 825 grams of gold ornaments, 2.25 kg silver articles, Two Lap tops and 28 Mobile phones. One Maruti van and lethal weapons were also seized.
