Two places of worship attacked in Namakkal Dst in TN
Chennai, Sep 16 (UNI) Two places of worship were attacked in Namakkal district in Tamil Nadu.
Reports received from the district said that an unidentified gang had attacked a place of worship at Tamizh Nagar, near Paramathi Velur on the night of September 14.
The gang later entered another place of worship in the same area and broke the glass panes and escaped.
On complaints, two people, including Ramesh and Kabilar, the office bearers of Hindu Munnani, were arrested, police said. The duo were remanded to judicial custody.
TNCC President K V Thangabalu, talking to newspersons said the BJP and its outfits were behind the incidents.
After Orissa and Bangalore, the BJP and other outfits have entered Tamil Nadu to disturb religious amity, he said and demanded stern action against the culprits.
