S African delegation meets Delhi Mayor

New Delhi, Sep 16 (UNI) A South African delegation today met Delhi Mayor Arti Mehra and other leaders of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and called for greater interaction between the two countries in infrastructural development.

A delegation from North-West Province of South Africa, led by Rev J O Tselapedl, Member of Executive Council for Education, met Mayor Arti Mehra at her chamber with the Deputy Mayor Divya Jaiswal, Leader of the MCD House Subhash Arya and corporation officials.

Mr Tselapedl said their country was making concerted efforts to remove poverty in their country and trying to fulfil shortage of technical experts in the field of infrastructural development.

The Mayor assured that her organisation will provide every co-operation and support to their country so far as infrastructural development is concerned.

On request of first Secretary to South African High Commissioner in New Delhi, Mvuyo Mahangwane, the Mayor assured that regular interaction among South African and MCD's experts in infrastructural facilities would be arranged so as to increase knowledge in the modern technologies.
