Pt. Abhisheki sangeet Mahotsav in Goa from Sep 20

    Panaji, Sep 16 (UNI) The two-day fifth Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki Sangeet Mahotsav will commence from September 20 at Dinanath Kala Mandir of Kala Academy here.

    It is jointly organised by Tarangini Sanskrutik Pratishthan (TSP) and Kala Academy Goa (KAG).

    The TSP, Chief Trustee Shounak Abhisheki (son of the Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki) speaking to media reporters here today said 16 internationally acclaimed artistes will pay their musical tribute to the son of the soil and a verstile genius.

    The trust has always endeavoured to organise this event around the Birth Centenary of its founder Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki and this year the saammelan ends on the Birth Anniversary of the Maestro on September 21.

    Among the acclaimed artists will be an eminent personality in the field of music, Dr Prabha Atre, Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar, one of the prime representatives of Gwalior, Pandit Ajitkumar Kadkade a renowned classical and devotional singer, Pandit Jayateerth Mevundi hails from the land of great vocalists and maestros of Hindustani classical music.

    Pandit Bireshwar Gautam one of the finest stars of the clasical arts in India, Ms Neela Bhagwat, Pandit Kamalkar Naik a noted bhajan artist from Goa, Abhijeet Pohankar the new face of Indian classical music, Pravin Godkhindi. Kaveri Agashe and Sheetal Kolwalkar young achievers in the field of Kathak, Ravindra Chari, Mahesh Kale a young, budding and talented vocalist of indian classical of the new generation, Sachin Nevpurkar from Aurangabad and Gauri Nayak Bhat, Sayali Talwalkar and Revathi Kamat.
