Kylie to earn 2m pounds for two gigs at Dubai hotel opening

London, Sept 15 : Pop princess Kylie Minogue is set to earn 2 million pounds for two gigs at the opening ceremony of a five star hotel on Dubai's artificial Palm Island.

At one of the Gulf concerts, to be held in November, the 40-year-old will perform for 2,000 guests at the hotel.

The other performance, to take a place at a shopping mall, is for 20,000 fans.

"She is a fantastic performer," the Mirror quoted Thomas Ovesen, boss of entertainment firm Middle East AEG Live, which organised the gigs, as saying.

Meanwhile, the singer will perform at Dubai Festival City on November 21 as part of her Kylie's X2008 Tour.

Tickets for the special event will go on sale from September 24, and details will be released soon.

"I can't wait to see you all at my first ever show in the Middle East," said Minogue.
