Delhi CM calls Cabinet meeting, urges people to remain calm

New Delhi, Sep 13 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has called an emergency meeting of the state Cabinet tomorrow in the wake of the serial blasts in the capital this evening.

Immediately after the blasts that occurred in close succession at several areas in Karol Bagh, Connaught place and Palika Bazar, the Chief Minister called an emergency meeting of her Cabinet at 0930 hrs tomorrow to review the situation.

In a message to the people of Delhi, the Chief Minister has appealed to the people of Delhi to maintain peace and calm.

Ms Dikshit expressed grief over the loss of lives in the tragedy and condemned the blasts in strongest terms.

She said the State Government would take full care of those injured in the incident.

Meanwhile, Lt Governor Tejender Khanna left an Iftaar party he had gone to attend, after hearing news of the blasts.
