Coins fair inaugurated by Guj Finance Minister

Rajkot, Sep 13 (UNI) A three-day coins fair of national level, jointly organised by Gujarat Coin Society of Ahmedabad and Rajkot was inaugurated by Gujarat Finance Minister Vajubhai Vala at Meghani Rangbhavan here.

More than 100 coins collectors from several parts of the country are exhibiting old coins, including those belonging to erstwhile princely states. The people of the city have an opportunity to see the 'antique collection' of the coins and its high demands in the international market, both in terms of value and trade.

As part of the event, auctions of the coins would also take place. Auctioneer have to avail ''antiques license'' from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

Six, such coins fair, have already been held in India and it was seventh fair, held in Rajkot, said Gujarat Coin Society President Tejas Nyak.
