All-party meet on Women Reservation Bill
Kohima, Sep 13 (UNI) As requested by Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on the floor of the House on Thursday, the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) has convened a meeting of all political parties of the state on October 2 to discuss on the 108 (Amendment) Act, 2008 (Women Reservation Bill).
A press release issued here today stated that Assembly Secretary A E Lotha invited all political parties to the conference of the Nagaland Assembly Secretariat on October 2 to participate in the discussion.
Mr Lotha invited ten members from the Nagaland Peoples Front, eight members from the Congress, five members from the BJP, five members from NCP, two members of JD(U), two members of RJD, two members of Samata Party and seven independent MLAs to take part in the meeting.
He also invited both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members from Nagaland to attend the discussions, the release said.
