CCS Univ approaches Punjab police about fake employment ad
Hisar, Sep 12 (UNI) CCS Haryana Agricultural University has taken a serious note of a fake advertisement released in Punjab for appointment for the various posts of the University by an unknown agency to mislead the people and sought police probe into the matter.
''We have written to the SSP of Gurdaspur district in Punjab from where the advertisement had been released to thoroughly probe the fraud case,'' the Vice-Chancellor Dr R S Dalal said that University had invited applications for filling eight non teaching posts of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, Sports and Ex-Servicemen categories on December 23 and 24 last year in the leading national dailies.
He said that the posts of Computer Operator, Peon, Watchman and field Worker were not included in the advertisement.. However, the University received 72 applications for these posts from Gurdaspur and nearby areas.
Dr Dalal said that the fraud of increasing the posts of clerks in the advertisement from 16 to 82 and selling of fake application forms had also come into the knowledge of the University.
He said that all the details of the posts published in the advertisement were fake and fabricated.
The Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur had been told to send the report of the probe so that action could be taken against the guilty.
