Pay hike notified for Madhya Pradesh Govt staff

Bhopal, Sep 11: The Madhya Pradesh government has issued a notification to implement the pay revision to its employees on the basis of the 6th Pay Commission recommendations.

The arrears for the period from January 1, 2006 to August 31, 2008 will be paid to the employees, official sources said.

Keeping in view the time to be taken to give effect to the pay revision, the state cabinet decided to give interim relief of 20 percent of the present basic pay and dearness allowance to the employees from September 1 this year.

Pensioners, however, would get 10 per cent amount as interim relief, the sources said.

The state cabinet at its meeting on Tuesday decided to grant the benefits of 6th Pay panel recommendations to the state government employees also.
